Sustainability

BathUni Living - Sustainability

Environmental Features

Built Responsbility

BathUni Living FA Block Brick

Responsibly Sourced Materials

We’re dedicated to using responsibly sourced materials throughout this development. By selecting certified timber, recycled components, and locally produced goods, we minimise environmental impact and support ethical supply chains.

This approach ensures the building is not only high-quality and durable, but also aligned with our commitment to sustainable construction.

BathUni Living FA Solar Panel

Solar Panel Installation

To further our sustainability goals, we’re integrating solar panels across rooftops to harness clean, renewable energy. This reduces reliance on non-renewable sources and lowers overall emissions.

By generating on-site electricity, we not only cut operational costs but also contribute to a greener, more energy-efficient future for our communities.

We are also able to store the electricity that isn’t used in a battery onsite to help reduce our carbon footprint.

BathUni Living FA Seedling

Minimised Environmental Impact

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint. The Telephone Exchange integrates energy-efficient systems and sustainable building materials.

We prioritize low-impact construction practices and long-term sustainability, aiming to create spaces that benefit both residents and the environment, today and for future generations.

BathUni Living FA Recycle

Waste Reduction

Minimizing waste is a core focus of ours. We have implemented efficient planning, material reuse, and on-site recycling to significantly reduce landfill contributions.

By managing resources carefully and embracing circular practices, we’re building smarter—cutting down on waste while creating sustainable, high-performing spaces for the future.

BathUni Living FA Hand Holding Droplet

Water Conservation

We incorporate low-flow fixtures, rainwater harvesting systems, and drought-resistant landscaping to reduce water usage across our developments.

These measures help preserve local water resources, lower utility demands, and promote long-term environmental resilience in the communities we build.

Durability and Protection

By selecting high-quality, long-lasting materials and designing for minimal maintenance, we reduce the need for frequent repairs or replacements.

This not only conserves resources but also supports the long-term sustainability and lasting quality of the property.

The Location

An incredible location to the west of Bath with majestic views across the valley. Although close to the A4 (which means easy access to Bath and Bristol), it is a quiet location surrounded by fields with footpaths running through the lovely countryside. It’s the closest off-site accommodation to Bath Spa University with the entrance just around the corner from the Old Telephone Exchange.
